Chanel- Chance Eau Fraiche

I’ve often thought that I like change too much to have a signature perfume, but that all changed when I smelled Chance Eau Fraiche. I’ve been wearing this gorgeous fragrance since 2019 and I don’t see an end in sight. Most fragrances I need a break by the time I finish the bottle, but with Eau Fraiche I never want the fragrance to run out.

Chance Eau Fraiche is a fresh, woody, citrusy fragrance that EXUDES class.

• Top Notes: Lemon, Cedar, and Citron
• Mid Notes: Water Hyacinth, Pink pepper, Jasmine
• Base Notes: Patchouli, White Musk, Vetiver, Teak Wood, Iris, Amber

When I wear Eau Fraiche I get fresh out of the shower vibes, walking in the forest of Washington vibes, preppy and chic and effortlessly pulled together kind of vibes. It’s simultaneously sporty and classy. Eau Fraiche has the great duality of being the perfect fragrance to spritz on for a hike in the woods or to wear to the office.

Eau fraiche smells like excitement and adventure. Every time I smell it’s bright clean scent I am filled with energy and happiness.

On days I want to feel pulled together and like a boss lady, I reach for Eau Fraiche. Magically, I still reach for the bottle if I’m throwing on my adidas and yoga pants to run errands. It’s such a refreshing and sophisticated scent. Eau Fraiche is completely inoffensive, borderline tomboyish but still extremely elegant. Chanel knows how to do elegance and class.

Every time I wear this fragrance I get compliments, actually mostly by men. I think most men prefer fresh scents over sweet. My husband LOVES this fragrance as well. I’m pretty sure it’s his absolute favorite! He doesn’t usually care about perfume, at all, but I know he likes a perfume on me if he chooses to say something.

When my husband smells this on me he says, “Is that Chance? Oh my gosh, you smells sooooo good.” For him to say ANYTHING about my perfume is high praise.

The longevity is decent considering it’s an EDT. On my skin, I get 3- 4 hours of wear and days on my clothes. Since having a baby I usually mist this on the back of neck and under my shirt so as not get the scent on my young son and I still get hours of wear. Chance Eau Fraiche could definitely be a year-round scent especially if you live in a hot humid state like me, but it shines best in the late spring, summer, and early autumn months. As with all Chanel scents, they are never on sale and only sold at major stores like Nordstroms, Macy’s and, Ulta in stores and online, which I guess just adds to their brand reputation of high quality and high class. So elitist, I love it.
