Does anyone else get intimidated by the beauty gurus on YouTube? When I watch their “everyday look” or “minimal makeup how-to”, I’m amazed at their talent, but overwhelmed by the amount of time it takes to create a “minimal look”. I don’t have 30 minutes, I have 10! I’m either putting my makeup on at the gym in front of a crowded mirror or hastily applying it in the car while my husband drives.
I also get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of makeup products and options. How many color palettes are necessary and seriously, why do we need so many brushes? On a daily basis, I stick to the basics. I don’t contour and I don’t spend a ton of money on products. I also don’t always touch up my eyebrows, but I love the finished look when I do. Wearing makeup helps me feel pulled together and prepared for the day. I love changing up the color of my lipstick or eye shadow depending on the season, but here are my go-to products for now in the order in which I apply them.
Some of these products may be cheaper at your local drug store or from other online retailers, but for convenience and more product description, I’ve listed them from Amazon.
