Versace-Eros Pour Femme-EDT

Everyone who knows me knows I have a passion for perfume, maybe borderline obsession is the right term. My husband is constantly dodging me as I ask him to smell my wrist. People at work come to me when they need a spritz because they know I will have several perfumes in my bag. I love exploring new fragrances at the store, reading reviews, and learning about the fragrance notes for each perfume. All types of fragrances interest me whether it be fresh, floral, sweet, and spicy. I try them all and wear them all!

My latest obsession for this summer is Versace’s Eros Pour Femme EDT. The EDT version of Eros Pour Femme is classified as a floral woody musk with the following fragrance notes:

• Top Notes: Sicilian lemon, mandarin, raspberry, white currant, and Calone.
• Middle Notes: jasmine, freesia, magnolia, and orange blossom.
• Base Notes: White patchouli, woods, ambroxan, and musk.

If you’re like me, the fragrance notes are interesting, but don’t really tell me what it smells like. So, what does it actually smell like?

Versace Eros Pour Femme smells EXACTLY like a scrumptious lemon bar dessert.

After I purchased this perfume I became obsessed with lemons. I bought lemons for my water, bought a lemon covered lunch tote, and began baking lemon bars for every party or for no reason at all except to be immersed in bright summery lemon.

The fragrances opens with a burst of sweet zesty fruit. Immediately upon first spritz, you can smell the creamy lemon, raspberry, and mandarin. After the initial burst, you can detect the fresh, smooth, clean scent of the magnolia and freesia coming through while still smelling the lemon and raspberry. The lemon and raspberry never really wear off and remain detectable in the dry down where it’s joined by the ambroxan, musk, and woods. The ambroxan, patchouli, and woody note help lengthen the longevity of the perfume and serve to warm up the fragrance, transforming into a slightly warm, beachy, aquatic vibe.

Versace Eros Pour Femme is a juicy lemon and raspberry fragrance that is addictive and delicious. The radiant scent is never too sharp or too floral, but a delectable sorbet of sunshine. Eros Pour Femme is quite literally summer in bottle!

The fragrance has an above average longevity for an eau de toilette. On my skin, it lasts about 3-4 hours which is impressive considering most toilettes only last a couple of hours. The sillage is pretty fair, most people will smell the fragrance on you for the first hour and then it becomes closer to the skin allowing you to live in your lemon bar bubble for the next couple of hours.
